Founded in 2007, the President’s Leadership Council is an important donor group whose members engage their personal and professional networks to benefit the Field Museum.

This group’s contributions and volunteer efforts ensure we can continue offering world-class educational programs and exhibitions, and engage in ongoing research and collections upkeep.

President’s Leadership Council members enjoy leadership and networking opportunities, as well as fun events at the Museum and throughout Chicago.

Join the Council

Members of the President’s Leadership Council receive all the benefits of Museum membership, according to your giving tier, as well as the following exclusive benefits:

  • Leadership and networking opportunities with civic-minded individuals throughout Chicago’s business community
  • Invitations to exclusive events, including exhibition previews, lectures and social events

Core members

Core Members make an annual unrestricted gift between $1,000 and $2,499. They receive Discovery Circle benefits at the Field Explorer level.

Guiding members

Guiding Members make an annual unrestricted gift of at least $2,500. They receive Founders’ Council privileges and have an opportunity to apply for a position on select Board of Trustees committees.

Council responsibilities

Members are expected to participate in new-member orientation, join quarterly meetings, and continually work to raise the profile of the Field Museum across their personal and professional communities. The Council plays an important role in supporting the Field’s mission by promoting initiatives and events to their networks as well as recruiting new donors at all levels.
